The Avaya J179 IP phone will accept the standard square type RJ9/RJ11 headset plug found on the rear of the Phone, and is 100% compatible with all our wired headsets. The J179 uses the Avaya HIS or Smart Lead cable for QD or "quick disconnect" wired headsets. We recommend the following wired headsets for the Avaya J179 IP phone
